Snow! (Just not much of it)

Parts of north metro Atlanta and north Georgia remain under a winter weather advisory throughout the day Saturday after parts of the area got a dusting of snow overnight and early this morning exactly as forecast.

Temperatures are expected to remain about 17 degrees colder than the average for the weekend, but don't expect an early-March blizzard as in past years.

WSB meteorologist Kirk Mellish says much of the day and area will be dry Saturday with hit and miss snow flurries on/off with a very cold high in the low 40s. "Any snow you might see falling will not accumulate on the roads in Atlanta," says Mellish.

The winter weather advisory is in effect for north Georgia until 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Nighttime lows are expected to dip down below the freezing mark.
