Braves to move their Spring home

First they announce a move to Cobb County, now the Braves may be looking to leave their Spring Training home, as well.

When the Braves first moved from Jupiter to Orlando 17 years ago, they were one of several teams based in central Florida.

After the Astros and Nationals announced they were moving to Palm Beach, it left just the Braves and Tigers in the area. Detroit is based in Lakeland.

Team President John Schuerholz tells the Atlanta Business Chronicle they are looking at all options with just three years left on their lease with Disney's Wide World of Sports.

The next closest team is now at least an hour and a half away, meaning plenty more travel during Spring Training.

Currently seven of the 15 teams that train in Florida are based on the Gulf Coast, near Tampa.
