HILLIARD, Ohio — An Ohio couple was arrested last week in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of their 2-month-old son, police said.

According to WBNS-TV, 39-year-old Ehren Schumacher and 32-year-old Hazel Piuri, both of Hilliard, each face a child endangerment charge and two drug possession counts in the September 2019 death of their baby boy, Rhaden. Schumacher also faces a reckless homicide charge in the case, the outlet reported.

Hilliard police said officers arrived at a Jeannette Road home Sept. 1 to find Rhaden unresponsive, according to WBNS. Emergency crews rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he died.
