EASTON, Mass. — A 103-year-old Massachusetts woman beat the coronavirus, then cracked open a beer to celebrate.

Jennie Stejna was the first person infected at her nursing home three weeks ago, USA Today reported.

She had a low fever and was moved to a separate area. Her condition worsened but on May 13, her family was told she had recovered. Staff gave her an icy Bud Light -- a libation she loved but had not been able to enjoy for awhile.

There are 94,220 confirmed cases and 6,547 deaths from the coronavirus in Massachusetts, according to The New York Times.

"This feisty old Polish grandmother of ours officially beat the coronavirus," relative Adam Gunn told the Easton Journal. "We're truly very thankful."
