FBI in Louisville seeks people who stole more than $18K in drugs from Kroger store

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The FBI in Louisville is looking for several people who looted a Kroger grocery store, taking more than $18,000 worth of controlled substances, officials said.

The burglary was reported just before 1 a.m. June 2 at the Kroger on West Broadway, according to an FBI news release. The looting incident followed the shooting death of David McAtee, WLKY reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 502-263-6000.

According to the FBI, at least 14 people broke into the store, and at least one person was carrying a firearm, WDRB reported.

In its release, the FBI said the people who broke into the store spent several minutes inside before leaving on foot or in vehicles. Investigators said $18,550 worth of controlled substances were stolen, along with other items, WLKY reported.
