Missing Gwinnett mother found dead

Police confirm the body of a woman found in a Lilburn industrial area is that of a missing Gwinnett County mother.

A survey crew found the body of 26-year-old Angela Rabotte in woods off Lilburn Industrial Way near Arcado Road Thursday morning.

"She was partially covered with leaves and pine straw," Lilburn Police Capt. Thomas Bardugon tells WSB's Sandra Parrish.

He says photos of the missing woman and tattoos on the body led to the positive identity.  An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.

Rabotte dropped her 3-year-old daughter off Friday evening before attending a party.  She was last seen alive early Saturday.

Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith says an acquaintance of Rabotte has been arrested on outstanding warrants and is considered a person of interest in the case, but so far has not been charged.

"He certainly will be investigated further now that we have a crime scene, but at this point he has not been charged in a homicide," says Smith.

Family members of the woman were at the crime scene as police confirmed the identity.

"She was just a great mother, she had a great spirit," says Darryl Campbell, father of Rabotte's daughter.  "She was a fighter, so I know she fought."
