A maid at a Roswell hotel made a gruesome discovery Thursday morning. She found a body inside one of the rooms she was cleaning.
Roswell Police Lt. James McGee tells WSB the maid was cleaning a room at the In Town Suites Extended Stay Hotel on Hembree Road when she found a woman dead just after 11 a.m.
"When officers got there, they did find a white female. She was lying on the bed, lying on her back. The room was in disarray. She was obviously deceased," said McGee.
He said, while there were no outward signs of foul play, there were things on the body that they want to further investigate.
The woman, who is from metro Atlanta, checked into the hotel alone on May 30th.
"We did talk to one of the maids that actually found the body. We don't have any indication that anything else was going on in that particular room since her stay there. There's been no calls to the desk or no calls to us," said McGee.
Police did talk to some of the guests who reported hearing some noises around 1 a.m. Thursday.
