ATLANTA — Work crews are set to close a lane of a busy Atlanta road in order to replace aging water pipes.
Officials say one lane on North Druid Hills Road between West Druid Hills Drive and Old Executive Park Drive will be closed.
“We’re trying to improve our water and sewer infrastructure throughout the county. This is one of our projects that will improve and rehabilitate an eight-inch water main that is located in that area,” DeKalb County official Alicia Pennie said.
The work is scheduled to take place daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for the next six weeks.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible and plan for additional travel times in that area.
