DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The DeKalb County Police Department is hosting an all-day hiring event on Saturday.
The department said they are looking for men and women who want to serve the residents of DeKalb County.
Candidates who are hired would have an employment start date of August 7.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1950 W. Exchange Pl, Tucker, Ga. 30084.
The starting salary for certified officers is $59,194 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and $55,000 for non-certified individuals with a $3,000 sign-on bonus, according to the department.
DeKalb police say candidates may even leave the hiring event with a conditional offer.
