Metro Atlanta county generated more than $2.5 billion this year from visitors

COBB COUNTY, GA — Tourism is big business in Cobb County.

A new report finds visitors generated a total economic impact of $2.5 billion this year.

Cobb Travel and Tourism officials say its study shows visitors spent $1.6 billion over the past year, supporting more than 18,000 jobs.

The group says the revenue saves each cobb household an average of $744 per year in taxes.
