CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — An investigation is underway after a van crashed into the back of a school bus carrying Woodstock Elementary School students Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 92 and Main Street.
In a letter to parents, Woodstock Elementary School Principal Clatrina Lane said all 20 students on the bus and the driver are safe.
Officials say two juveniles suffered minor injuries and are being treated.
Lane said an additional school nurse and counselors will be at the school to support students following the crash.
The crash closed the northbound side of Main Street and a right lane on Highway 92. Woodstock police are advising drivers to avoid the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
