UPDATE: Lockdown lifted after disturbing messages sent to students at Henry County middle school

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Stockbridge Middle School was in lockdown Wednesday after someone sent disturbing messages to multiple students’ personal cell phones via Airdrop.

The school was initially placed on hard lockdown and students and staff were sheltering in place. The school has since lifted the lockdown and resumed normal school operations.

A parent shared images on social media of threats of gun violence directed at the school.

It’s unclear if anyone is facing disciplinary action.

The school said an investigation determined that the threat was not credible.
