UGA student creates the perfect gift for smelly feet

What’s that smell?  Stinky feet can be embarrassing, but thanks to a University of Georgia student, there is a solution!

Matthew Tesvich is the founder of Ox Sox, a company that produces odorless socks that prevent smelly feet.

Tesvich said growing up his parents told him to throw away his socks after baseball practice. They were so stinky that he wasn’t allowed to join the family in the living room before he changed out of them.

Using the concept to make socks out of antibacterial fibers, Tesvich found that he was onto something. It took him 18 months of researching and working with manufacturers to come up with the perfect product that delivers what it promises: odorless socks no matter how stinky your feet are.

The idea for the odorless socks came to him when his college roommate came home with a hand towel that allowed you to clean your hands without soap. “I used the antibacterial properties of that towel to create socks,” said Tesvich.  He knew if you could kill bacteria, you could kill odor.

“They are great for travel, work, or whatever the case may be,” he said.

Now known as the “Sock Man” around campus, Tesvich said the socks are flying off the shelves this holiday season.
