ATLANTA — One of the many events happening this Labor Day weekend is the 40th Dragon Con convention in downtown Atlanta.
Dragon Con is expected to bring thousands of people to downtown Atlanta throughout the holiday weekend, according to officials.
Spokesperson Jo Garland says organizers have added a few things for the convention’s 40th anniversary.
“We have a few new panels that we’ve added to the schedule. Specifically, we have a history or a look back 40 years with Dragon Con. It’s with Pat and a few of the others who started the convention.”
The Dragon Con parade kicks off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The parade will lead to several street closures in downtown Atlanta for a few hours, officials said.
“We also have a few guests returning from year one,” Garland said.
Nearly 75,000 people are expected to attend this year.
