DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A SWAT standoff in DeKalb County has ended peacefully, according to Doraville police.
A gunman reportedly barricaded himself inside a house on Tilly Mill Road near an elementary school and a park around 4 a.m.
Police said just before 8 a.m. the man walked out of the home and was arrested.
Police were initially called to a dispute between some friends.
The other people inside the home were able to get out, leaving the suspect in the house alone, police say.
It is unclear how many people were inside the home or if there are any injuries.
The home is near Bernard Halpern Park and Hightower Elementary School. There is no word if school drop-off was affected Monday morning by the standoff.
