One suspect has been arrested in connection to a body found in the trunk of a car near the county line of Gwinnett and Barrow counties.

Barrow County deputies arrested Anthony Woschula, 34, when questioning him about a missing person. Victor Clark was reported missing on Tuesday. Clark and Woschula both live at the same Chimney Trace Drive address, according to Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith.

“Mr. Woschula interacted with the deputies for a moment or two, and what we’re calling, kind of got ‘hinked up’ a little bit, “ said Sheriff Smith. “Mr. Woschula took off on foot, fled on foot, he was caught a short time later. And when we searched Mr. Woschula we found methamphetamine in his pocket.”

Smith says deputies continued their missing person investigation after Woschula was taken into custody for possession of meth and obstruction.

“A resident, which we believe is—which was Mr. Woschula’s father, basically gave us information where this missing car, missing person might’ve been,” said Sheriff Smith.

Barrow County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Gwinnett County Police, located the vehicle at the intersection of Whitley Rd and Kilcrease Rd.

“A person was deceased inside the trunk of the car. It appeared to have been deceased from gunshot wounds,” said Sheriff Smith.

Cpl. Wilbert Rundle of Gwinnett County Police confirmed the body was male and found wrapped in a blanket.

The vehicle the body was found in is registered to Victor Clark. Authorities have not confirmed the victim’s identity, however, it is likely the victim is the previously reported missing person, according to Sheriff Smith.

There is no known motive in this case.
