ATLANTA, GA — Governor Kemp’s effort to reform the state’s litigation rules clears a major hurdle as the state senate votes to advance the first of two bills on the issue.
Kemp has made this his top legislative priority this session.
Democrats have pushed back on the effort saying it benefits insurance companies.
The measure now goes to the House.
