1 shot, killed at BP gas station

A person was shot and killed at a gas station Tuesday morning.

Atlanta police said at 6:30 a.m.  a person was found shot at the BP at 3260 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway at Interstate 285.

According to WSB's Richard Sangster, an SUV appears to have nearly collided with the building.

APD homicide commander Lt. Paul Guerrucci told Sangster that investigators are hoping to find a witness who can give them a description of the
shooter. The man walked up to the victim, sitting in his car, parked at the gas pumps and started shooting, Guerrucci said.

It appears, the victim was there buying gas, or something from the store. Shot a number of times the victim in his 50's was taken to Grady hospital, where he died.

Guerrucci said, the shooter walked up to the victim, but Guerrucci doesn't know how the shooter  left the gas station, located on Hollowell road left.
