Mega-church preacher Eddie Long has reached a settlement with four men who accused him of sexual abuse.
According to the AJC, Attorney Barbara Marschalk who represents New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and LongFellows Youth Academy says the matters have been resolved. She anticipates the lawsuits will be dismissed as early as Friday.
B.J. Bernstein, who represents the four men who sued Long, New Birth and LongFellows, also confirmed the lawsuits have been settled.
A spokesman for the church issued a statement Thursday on the settlement.
The four former church members alleged Long used his influence to coerce them into sexual relationships. Long has denied the allegations in the past, but talks of a settlement have been rampant since before Easter.
Neither side will comment further and settlement terms are unknown.
If all parties hadn't reached a settlement, the case would have likely gone to trial later this year.
