Serial Subway robber arrested

A robber who has targeted Subway restaurants around Metro Atlanta has been arrested in Tennessee.

In the latest robbery last week at a Subway on Medlock Bridge Road in Gwinnett County, police say 34-year-old Zachary Miller can be seen patiently waiting for a sandwich before he jumps the counter and orders the employee to open the cash register.

During the Gwinnett robbery he reportedly told the employee his babies were hungry.

“He grabbed the cash and ran to the front door. But before he left, he realized he had left his sandwich, turned around, came back and collected that and then he ran away on foot,” says Gwinnett Police Sgt. Jake Smith.

He tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish Miller is wanted for robbing two other Subways in Villa Rica and Carroll County and also has warrants from armed robbery out of Tennessee.
