Search underway for missing 21-year-old woman in Barrow County

Woman missing in Fort Yargo State Park The Georgia Department of Natural Resources tells Channel 2 Action News that Erica Gibson, 21, was visiting Fort Yargo State Park. She hasn’t been seen since 7:30 p.m.

BARROW COUNTY, GA — A search is underway at Fort Yargo State Park for a missing 21-year-old woman.

Erica Gibson was last seen Wednesday night.

Winder police say Gibson is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 132 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a green and gray shirt.

Game wardens with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Winder police are leading the search.

Crews are using sonar to search a lake at the park.

Anyone with information about Gibson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Winder police or call 911.
