Sandy Springs-based UPS plans to retrofit air conditioning in 5,000 trucks

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Sandy Springs-based UPS announces it’s putting air conditioning in 5,000 existing vehicles.

About 2,000 will be ready to roll by next summer and the rest will be finished by June of 2027.

The air conditioned vehicles will mainly be sent to the hottest parts of the country in the south and southwest, including Georgia.
