Reward offered after 33-year-old man lured to Atlanta neighborhood, killed in planned robbery

ATLANTA — A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that could help Atlanta police make an arrest in a deadly shooting near Spelman College.

Police say 33-year-old Tarris Caswell was killed Aug. 21 along McDaniel Street near Northside Drive in southwest Atlanta.

Investigators say Caswell was lured to the area by suspects who intended to rob him.

Police say Caswell and a friend were expecting to pick up two other men before going to a rap studio for a video session.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or Atlanta police.
