DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A popular Tex-Mex restaurant in DeKalb County will be closing after nearly 20 years of business.
Tin Roof Cantina’s owners posted on social media that their landlord sold the property they rent on Briarcliff Road to a developer.
“Hello Tin Roofers! We have news to share. After 5 years in limbo, our landlord has unfortunately sold the property to a developer, and though we don’t have an exact end date at this point, the Tin Roof Cantina’s time at this location is short. We want to take this as an opportunity to thank all of you for making Tin Roof the special place that it is and has been to so many. It is YOU who created the magic within the walls of this building. The customers, the staff, the bands, the friends who have all become our TRC family.”
While the restaurant hasn’t been given a date it has to close by, Tin Roof Cantina will change their hours of operation starting Feb. 3.
The restaurant will open at 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and noon on Saturdays and for special events on select Wednesdays and Sundays.
The owners also ask for fans of the restaurant to “check in with us on Facebook and Instagram for updates for what comes next.”
