ATLANTA — Police say one person is recovering from being shot and a security guard is in custody after a shooting inside Greenbriar Mall, according to Atlanta police.
The shooting occurred inside a phone store just before 3:30 p.m.
The victim, despite being shot three times is alert, conscious and breathing. There is no further confirmation on the severity of their injuries.
Investigators say a private security officer and the victim got into an argument that escalated to gunfire.
The security guard was detained at the scene. Police have not identified that person or commented on what charges could be filed.
The mall has been shut down as police investigate.
