ATLANTA — Police are investigating after a victim was shot multiple times in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of Hapeville Road after reports of a shooting just before 5 p.m.

The victim had multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen, according to police. He was rushed to the hospital.

The identity of the victim and current extent of his injury is unknown.
