ATLANTA, GA — Amid the busy Christmas shopping season, Atlanta police are investigating an apparent smash-and-grab at a Lululemon store in the West Midtown area Tuesday morning.
Details are limited, but police confirmed they are “investigating a business burglary at the location” on Howell Mill Road near 14th Street. A large glass door at the front of the shop was shattered and glass shards were piled up on the sidewalk as police combed the area for evidence.
The incident took place before the store’s 10 a.m. opening. The shop, known for its yoga wear, leggings and athletic clothing, is situated within the Westside Provisions District, an upscale shopping area with a mix of clothing, home goods and dining establishments.
Crime scene investigators were carefully swabbing surfaces for any evidence potentially left behind by the suspects.
It is not clear how much merchandise, if any, was taken.
WSB reached out to store representatives but there was no response.
