Peachtree City leaders vote on raise for first responders, additional benefits for city employees

At a City Council meeting on Thursday, The City of Peachtree City adopted a new employee compensation plan to be more competitive in the market.

The plan includes a major salary adjustment for public safety workers. First responders will receive a 12 percent increase in pay.

“We are committed to providing our employees with a fair and competitive compensation package,” said Mayor Kim Learnard. “This new plan reflects our dedication to investing in our workforce and ensuring that our public safety workers receive the recognition and compensation they deserve.”

The new employee compensation plan also includes other provisions to improve pay and benefits for city employees across various departments.

“We recognize the hard work and dedication of our city employees, and we are committed to providing them with a compensation package that reflects their contributions,” said City Manager Bob Curnow. “This new plan is a significant step in the right direction, and we look forward to continuing to work with our employees to build a stronger and more vibrant community.”

The plan will be implemented on April 24th.
