ATLANTA — A new app is in being developed by a metro Atlanta area teacher to help eliminate potential danger.
Officials say the Follow Me Safe Space app was created by Jaime Patton, a longtime special education teacher.
She says getting help before a crisis occurs is key to ending human trafficking.
“It was a prevention tool to keep people from being taken, being found before they’re taken, but also used to recover missing persons,” said Patton.
Patton says the app will also help locate hot spots.
“I’m in a place of not just educating children, but protecting them as well,” she said.
Patton says the app is currently being scaled for adaptability. She is aiming for the new feature to roll out by November.
