Metro Atlanta school bus driver celebrates 50 years of service

HENRY COUNTY, GA — A metro Atlanta school bus driver is celebrating an incredible milestone.

The Henry County School District is honoring bus driver Darlene Campbell as she reaches her 50-year work anniversary.

Campbell started driving buses for Henry County schools when her son was still in school decades ago.

Now, the 81-year-old has made enough memories to last a lifetime with generations of students.

“As long as I have the ability to do it, I probably will,” she said.

Campbell says she loves being around the kids and wants to stay behind the wheel for as long as she can.

The district is celebrating Campbell’s decades of dedication to generations of students.
