NEWTON COUNTY, GA — A metro Atlanta mother has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after the tragic death of her 13-month-old daughter.
Newton County prosecutors say Ariel Osbey left her daughter, Imani, inside of a car for more than five hours in 2023. The incident ended with the child’s death, prompting a criminal investigation.
She was convicted of second degree murder and making false statements.
