ATLANTA — MARTA could have a new leader by the end of the week as its Board of Directors considers three finalists for the agency’s next general manager and CEO.
The board is interviewing the three finalists following a national search that included more than 250 candidates.
Among the finalists is Jonathan Hunt, who has served as MARTA’s interim general manager and CEO since last August. Hunt joined MARTA in 2014.
Also under consideration is Cleveland Ferguson, who currently leads the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.
The third finalist is Leroy Jones, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
MARTA’s Board of Directors anticipates selecting the new general manager and CEO during its board meeting Thursday.
