SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A man is accused of trying to burn down a Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Sandy Springs to cover up a robbery.
The fire happened at the Sonic in the 5900 block of Roswell Road near I-285.
After the fire was extinguished, Sandy Springs police say they discovered cash was missing from the restaurant and that its security and camera system had been disabled before the fire.
Police obtained search warrants as part of the investigation and say evidence linked Luis Quintana to the crime.
Quintana was arrested at his home without incident. He is being held in the Fulton County Jail on robbery and arson charges.
The extent of the damage to the restaurant has not been announced.
