Major delays on I-75 in Bartow County after tractor-trailer goes up in flames

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — A tractor-trailer fire on I-75 southbound in Bartow County has led to major delays for miles along the interstate.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene near Hickory Grove and found the truck destroyed.

It appears the truck was carrying candy, but officials have not confirmed that information.

Crews are currently cleaning up the remains of the tractor-trailer and have all but one lane shut down.

Traffic was backed up for miles.

It’s unclear how the fire started or if anyone was injured.

The interstate has since reopened.
