ATLANTA — LifeLine Animal Project is preparing to bring more than 125 adoptable dogs from its three shelters to a metro Atlanta location next weekend.
The second Super Adopt-a-Thon of 2026 is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Union Hill Park, located at 1590 Little Pine Trail in Alpharetta.
LifeLine Animal Project officials say pet lovers who find their match can bring their new dog home the same day. Dog adoptions will be free and include pets that have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
“We believe pets belong in homes, not shelters,” said Timyka “Tiki” Artist, senior public relations manager for LifeLine Animal Project. “We’re asking the community to come out and help us give these amazing animals the second chances they deserve.”
Officials say the Super Adopt-a-Thon will bring dogs from Fulton County Animal Services, DeKalb County Animal Services and LifeLine’s other shelter locations together in one place outside of the traditional shelter environment.
“Whether you are looking for a playful adventure buddy, a couch companion, or a gentle furry friend, there will be dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities waiting to meet their new families,” LifeLine Animal Project officials said.
In addition to free adoptions, the event will feature local food, merchandise, photo opportunities and pet vendors, giving dog lovers a chance to enjoy the day while meeting dogs in need of homes.
The first LifeLine Super Adopt-a-Thon helped more than 50 dogs find homes in March.
Officials say LifeLine hopes to build on that success with the September event and make it easier for people to save a life and find the right dog for their family.
Attendees are encouraged to visit LifeLine.org/Super-Adopt for participating dogs and weather-related updates.
