DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are investigating the death of an infant after officers were called to a townhome community.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Eastwyck Circle around 3 p.m. following a report of a possible infant death.
Detectives and personnel with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages, and no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death have been released yet.
An adult man who was at the location was taken into custody after police discovered he had outstanding failure to appear warrants from a separate case.
Police say the man’s arrest is unrelated to the infant’s death investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
