Grady to open new outpatient facilities south of I-20 in Fulton County

(ATLANTA, Ga.) — As the City of Atlanta continues to grow, larger and more robust healthcare facilities become necessary to support the population. Some recent closures of major hospitals have thrown a wrench into the works, creating a coverage gap that Grady Health System aims to help plug.

Grady announced today plans to open two new outpatient centers, located in central and south Fulton County.

The new centers are located south of I-20, a region which has been hit particularly hard by the drought of healthcare coverage.

“We have listened to our community and paid close attention to the areas that need more health services,” said John Haupert, president and CEO at Grady. “We conducted research and identified these neighborhoods that have seen significant population growth but have historically lacked access to primary and specialty care.”

Grady’s new neighborhood health centers will be located at:

  • Lee + White Outpatient Center, 1000 Lee St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310
  • Cascade Outpatient Center, 3355 Cascade Rd., Atlanta, GA 30311

The Cascade location is scheduled to open this July, with the Lee + White location following later in 2023. The two additions will bring the number of Grady outpatient locations to eight in the metro Atlanta area.
