Google reports there has been a significant amount of successful intrusions by hackers.
They put out a warning this week advising Gmail users to be on high alert for suspicious activity and to add extra security measures, like two-factor authentication.
Google says the hackers often access Gmail passwords by sending emails with links to fake sign-in pages, and have been targeting people by posing as it support staff.
