Georgia sees slight increase in unemployment rate

ATLANTA — There is a slight uptick in Georgia’s unemployment rate.

New numbers from the state labor department show the jobless rate from November 2025 was 3.5%, which is up a tenth of a point from September 2025.

Officials say Georgia’s unemployment rate is still more than a full point below the national rate.

Food services, health care and social assistance and arts, entertainment and recreation did the most hiring, officials said.
