COBB COUNTY, GA — Four people involved in a crime ring targeting retailers in metro Atlanta are being indicted for charges of racketeering and theft.
Roshella Kevon Moore, Shaterria Breasia Harris, Rickella Dreanna Moore and Shaniqua Nichelle Gates are charged for stealing over $23,000 worth of items from various stores from Feb. 2024 to July this year. They targeted retailers such as Ulta Beauty, TJ Maxx, Macy’s and JCPenney in Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Fayette and Fulton counties.
Stolen items included perfume, cologne and clothing. The merchandise was then sold on Facebook.
Attorney General Chris Carr’s Organized Retail Crime Unit, which investigates and prosecutes retail theft crime rings, announced the indictment today.
It is estimated that Georgia businesses lose over $3 billion a year, including $1.6 billion in stolen goods and $326 million in tax revenue.
