Gwinnett County Police arrest a woman they say was operating an unlicensed dental practice out of a mobile home park in Norcross.
Cpl. Jake Smith says an anonymous tip led them to the trailer where 37-year-old Martina Ramirez admitted to operating a dentist facility.
Once inside, officers found an elaborate operation including a dental chair, dental tools, a sterilization machine, molds of teeth, and medication.
Smith says Ramirez is in the country illegally and has no dental training other than telling officers she once worked as an assistant at dentist office in Buford.
"The person is charged with conducting dentistry without a license so she's got no inspections, no medical training that we're aware of," he tells WSB's Sandra Parrish.
Smith says Ramirez is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
