DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County will hold a police hiring event Saturday for people interested in joining the department.
The hiring event runs from 8 a.m. until noon at the Tobie Grant Recreation Center in Scottdale.
The county says new police recruits could earn more than $64,000 a year, along with a $3,000 signing bonus.
Sworn officers can earn more than $73,000 a year.
