Conyers police make arrest in motel shooting case

(CONYERS, Ga.) — After announcing Sunday that they were searching for two individuals of interest in a shooting case from Rockdale County, Conyers Police Department announced Monday that they’d made an arrest in the case.

33-year-old Dontavious Hardeman was found shot to death inside a pickup truck at the InSuites motels. A juvenile turned himself in to the police while accompanied by his parents. Sgt Quantavis Garcia told WSB’s Jennifier Griffies that they’re still searching for a second suspect, 17-year-old Quantavious Morgan.

Garcia added that all three seem to have known each other, but a motive remains unclear.
