A Cobb County man is being held without bond after police say he raped and impregnated his 11-year-old distant cousin.
"[Smyrna police] were able to determine through interviews with the child that a distant cousin that was living in the home had intercourse with her," says Officer Michael Smith, "at which time she became pregnant."
Martin Nolasco, 21, was arrested on Thursday. He's currently being held without bond in the Cobb County jail. He's being charged with one count of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation.
"Detectives were called by the family after the child became sick at school. They went to a hospital and at which time they were able to determine the child was pregnant," said Smith.
