Clayton County Schools cancels outdoor activities Thursday due to heat

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA — Clayton County Public Schools is keeping students indoors Thursday as high temperatures impact metro Atlanta.

The district canceled all school-related outdoor activities for Aug. 13, including physical education classes, recess and outdoor activities connected to coursework.

Athletic activities are also required to follow the Georgia High School Association’s standard protocols for Red Level conditions under By-Law 2.67.
