Children’s Healthcare patient shares inspiring message for Channel 2′s Jovita Moore

ATLANTA — Thousands of people have sent their well wishes and prayers to Channel 2′s Jovita Moore. Jovita is recovering after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor Friday morning.

One of those inspiring messages came from 12-year-old Emsley. She is a patient at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor for two years.

She drew Jovita a handmade get well soon card and passed along some words of wisdom and encouragement.

Jovita’s surgery went well Friday and doctors say she is a model patient.

“Take it day by day! Take it moment by moment. Many prayers for you and your family. Emsley has been living with a brain tumor and undergoing treatment for 2 years. Much love.”

Recovery from the surgery will last 8-10 weeks and we will keep you updated on her progress on Channel 2 Action News and at WSBTV.com.
