COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Officials were forced to shut down the Coweta County Fair early Saturday night after a series of fights broke out, according to the Newnan Times-Herald.
Deputies were called to the fair around 11:30 p.m. after fights broke out at several locations. Multiple teenagers and kids were detained and turned over to their parents and four adults were arrested, according to the Times-Herald.
Arrest warrants will be taken out on two more adults, Investigator Toby Nix told the Times-Herald.
It’s unclear what prompted the fights.
Video shared on social media shows chaos at the fair, with young people attacking each other and throwing chairs and deputies trying to intervene.

The fair is set to resume for normal operations from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
This is the second weekend that people were arrested after fights at the fair. A 15-year-old was arrested on felony charges after deputies said he hit an officer in the face last Saturday.
Two more people are also facing charges from that incident.
