CDC report finds large percentage of pregnant women delay prenatal care

ATLANTA — A new report from the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds a large number of pregnant women are delaying prenatal care.

As of 2024, nearly 76 percent of pregnant women in the U.S. received care during their first trimesters.

That’s a drop of two percent. In 2021, 78 percent of pregnant women received early prenatal care.
