Bomb Threats to Roswell CVS Stores

Roswell police and federal agents are looking into at least three bomb threats made against CVS stores in the metro area.

The two most recent were in Alpharetta and happened during the early morning hours on Saturday.

The first was at the CVS on Holcomb Bridge Road.

"He said that there was a vehicle outside," says Roswell Police Officer Zachary Frommer.  "He wanted the store clerks to put money onto Green Dot cards and leave it for him."

Frommer tells WSB, when police went to investigate that call another was made.

"Just when the officers got there the second call came in," says Frommer.  "It was to the other CVS, on Alpharetta Highway."

In both cases police found only cars belonging to employees and no other suspicious vehicles.

A similar threat was made back in February to a CVS in Atlanta.  It is believed the same caller is responsible for all three threats, but police are still not certain.

Frommer says Green Dot scams are all too common, but when the person invokes a bomb threat, then the scam becomes much more serious.
