Board of ethics to hear second Braves' stadium complaint

The Cobb County Board of Ethics takes up a second complaint over the new Braves stadium.

78-year-old East Cobb attorney Gary Pelphrey filed the complaint against Cobb County Commission Chairman Tim Lee.  Pelphrey accuses Lee of violating the state's "Open Meetings" law by briefing commissioners about the stadium deal two at a time, to avoid a public meeting.

Lee tells the Marietta Daily Journal, these allegations are "baseless and irresponsible."  He believes he will be vindicated.

The board will decide whether the complaint is groundless at a meeting next month.  A separate complaint, filed by a second citizen, has been dismissed.
